Experience in Large-Scale Sports Venue Installations
Installation Service Group (ISG) completed the installation of an extensive art and photography collection throughout the Amway Center in downtown Orlando, Florida.
Curated by Sports & The Arts, the collection included more than 140 pieces of original artwork and over 200 pieces of museum-quality photography. Valued at more than $1 million, the collection brought together work from 21 artists—14 of whom were based in Central Florida.
The commissioned artwork represented a wide range of creative styles and media, including abstract, figurative, digital, photo-painting, and mixed-media works. Each installation required careful handling, precise placement, and close coordination to successfully integrate the collection throughout the large sports and entertainment venue.
Celebrating Orlando’s History and Creative Community
Beyond enhancing the interior environment, the collection was designed to tell the story of Orlando and its surrounding community.
Historical photographs displayed throughout the building included a “Then and Now” series featuring well-known Orlando landmarks alongside vintage images of the downtown area. Original Church Street Station memorabilia from the 1970s was also restored and displayed within the venue’s restaurant.
The impact of the collection extended beyond the Amway Center itself. Several original artworks commissioned for the project were selected for use as wraps on public buses operated by the LYNX transportation system, bringing the artwork into the broader Orlando community.
Precision Installation for a High-Profile Venue
Installing hundreds of valuable and visually diverse pieces throughout a major arena demanded detailed planning, specialized handling, and consistent quality control.
ISG worked in coordination with the project team to ensure that each artwork and photograph was received, positioned, and securely installed according to the curatorial and design specifications. The result was a cohesive collection that contributed to the identity of the Amway Center while showcasing Orlando’s history, culture, and artistic talent.
The project demonstrates ISG’s experience managing large-scale artwork and specialty installations in stadiums, arenas, hospitality properties, and other high-profile commercial environments.
